Wow it has been one year since I wrote my last post. I thought of giving up and just let the blog alone since I am not like other millions food bloggers who have tons of people following them. Today I realized to just go ahead and keep writing.
I wanted to enter a food competition and the main focus is to how show craftsmanship. I am not a pastry chef , yet I love eating the sweets and the breads. I wanted to learn more about the pastry side so I decided to incorporate it into the competition and it make it a hobby and I love it. On January 2012 I wanted to learn how to make macarons. I did my research in books, blogs, talked to pastry chef friends and went ahead and started the journey. The first 300 macarons didn't work out to well , but I was not to give up. Finally I found the perfect recipe I tried it and the results were fantastic. My first good batch was coffee macarons and they were just beautiful. Then I went crazy and I tried to make kool-aid macarons .. Well that didn't work out. Today I made orange Popsicles flavor macarons and they came out great. I love macarons.
Going back to the competition .. Well I made macarons as one of my components and I got great comments and got a gold .
