Chef Eva Barrios, CEC was born in Venezuela. She started her culinary career in Georgia and moved to Houston to work under Master Chef at the Houston Country Club. During her ACF apprenticeship program, Eva participated in culinary competitions, and she was the captain of the ACF Houston Chapter Student Team in 2008 representing Texas in the ACF student National competition where they obtained a gold medal and first place.

 After graduating, she became vice-president of the ACF Local chapter as well as mentoring students and apprentices for culinary competitions. Eva volunteers for the ACF as a Certified Evaluator and Education Foundation Site Evaluator. 

She is now the Executive Sous Chef at the Austin Country Club in Austin, TX, and part of the Texas Chefs Association assuming the role as the Certification chair at the local chapter and state level. Chef Eva represented Texas along with Chef Nelson Milan from San Antonio Country Club in New Orleans at the Iron Chef Cook-Off during the Chef to Chef Conference 2019 bringing the Title of Champions back home.

Chef Eva is also part of the Chef Club and Resort Business Magazine Blogger Team.
